Simon Bredin is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he began his career in journalism at The Varsity. After obtaining his BA, he was a fellow at The Walrus and a reporter at The Medical Post. He also worked as a researcher for Robyn Doolittle’s definitive biography of Mayor Rob Ford. In 2014, while pursuing a masters degree in journalism at Ryerson University, he was awarded the Douglas Creighton Award for excellence in municipal reporting, and later served as the editor of the Ryerson Review of Journalism. In 2015, he joined the staff of Toronto Life as an editor, where he worked for three years before joining Navigator.
