Sharan's government experience includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Operations to Canada's Minister of Finance for five years, where she gained profound expertise in global geopolitical issues and international economic policy. In this capacity, she served as the political liaison for the G20 and G7 within Canada's Department of Finance, managing sensitive international relations and contributing to high-level diplomatic initiatives including NAFTA negotiations with the Trump administration. Sharan also played a pivotal role in Canada's federal COVID-19 response, helping develop historic government support programs such as CERB during the evolving pandemic landscape.
