With more than 15 years’ experience in broadcast journalism, Sarah brings a keen understanding of the Canadian media and television landscape.
Prior to joining Navigator, she worked at the CBC as a producer and journalist, covering national news for the broadcaster’s flagship program, The National.
In that role, she produced high impact news and current affairs stories, planned and executed editorial strategies for live special broadcasts and supported CBC hosts during elections, major breaking news events, political conventions and sports tournaments.
Major assignments included the 2016, 2020 and 2024 U.S. elections, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Sarah graduated from Dalhousie University with a Combined Honours degree in English and Political Science and went on to complete a Master of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She later returned to TMU to teach the fundamentals of journalism to first-year students.
