Known for his composure under pressure, Matt provides the steady hand and strategic foresight required to manage complex, fast-moving crises.

His expertise spans the intersection of media, government and corporate risk, with a proven track record of guiding clients through cyber security breaches, high-profile litigation, and politically sensitive M&A transactions. Prior to his current role, Matt served as a senior strategist and issues manager in the federal government, most notably for the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. He was a key issues advisor to government on Canada’s COVID-19 response, financial sector policy, and international trade disputes.

Matt is an experienced and active political strategist, giving him unique insights into public opinion and government. His career also includes roles in the public service, health care public affairs and broadcast media.

He holds a Master of Professional Communications from Toronto Metropolitan University and an Honours B.A. from York University.
