His work focuses on complex mandates including crises, restructurings, hostile and friendly takeovers, litigation, shareholder disputes, regulatory actions, and reputational challenges.
A Managing Principal and Executive Office Lead, he has more than fifteen years of experience navigating highly sensitive mandates in the Firm’s Toronto office.
Jonathan’s counsel has contributed to the constructive resolution of some of this country’s highest-profile special situations. He has advised clients across a range of sectors, including private equity and institutional asset management, law, telecommunications, real estate, post-secondary education, retail, media and professional sports.
He has particular expertise in risk and issue management, corporate and financial communications, public market transactions and shareholder disputes. He is frequently called upon to advise on strategy, narrative and messaging, and stakeholder engagement.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University and a CPIR designation in investor relations from CIRI-Rotman.
