Jennifer Carver leads Discover – the research arm of Navigator.

Jennifer’s strength resides in selecting an appropriate research methodology and asking the right set of nuanced questions to unearth the driving sentiments of the public and other stakeholders and the factors influencing those sentiments. At Navigator, she has led research projects for crisis communication mandates where the primary objective is to inform public affairs and high-stake communication plans.

Jennifer has also led many research projects undertaken to obtain results for the purpose of supporting government relations initiatives.

Jennifer has moderated hundreds of focus groups (both online and in-person) and in-depth one-on-one qualitative interviews. Her experiences have afforded her the opportunity to moderate a breadth of participants, including customers, investment advisors, children, teens, parents, C-Suite executives, medical professionals, and seniors. In addition to her hands-on experience, Jennifer has also obtained professional training in focus group moderation (at the Burke Institute) and meeting facilitation (at the Banff Centre for Leadership Development).

With expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, Jennifer has worked on mandates across many industries, including health care, energy, telecommunications, commercial land development, grocery, financial services and wealth management, casinos, and cannabis.

Prior to joining Navigator in 2017, for more than six years Jennifer was employed as a Senior Associate at a national public opinion and market research firm. Prior to that she worked for more than 15 years in various roles focused on marketing strategy and communications within the banking and wealth management industry.

Jennifer graduated in 1992 with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, with a concentration in economics and marketing.
