Emma Teitel

Emma Teitel is a Senior Consultant in Navigator's Toronto office.

She brings more than a decade of experience in Canada's journalism industry. As a former National Columnist at Maclean’s Magazine and a former Op-Ed Columnist at the Toronto Star, Emma has a proven track record of provoking public conversation and guiding public opinion. During her tenure on the Toronto Star’s Editorial Board, she helped shape the newspaper’s authoritative voice on the crucial political and cultural issues of the day.

Emma's work at Maclean’s Magazine, where she was previously a National Columnist and a podcast contributor, was recognized with Gold awards at both the National Magazine Awards and the Digital Publishing Awards. At the Toronto Star, she co-hosted a popular weekly podcast about Toronto municipal politics alongside columnist Ed Keenan.

Her deep knowledge of Canada’s media landscape and shrewd ability to break down complex policy issues for a mainstream audience provides clients with a reassuring guide to define themselves in the public eye.

Emma graduated from the University of King's College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is an avid shinny player on Toronto’s outdoor hockey rinks when the weather allows it.
