aspears@navltd.comAlex is a consultant with Navigator’s digital practice where he brings his experience in digital communications and public affairs to serve and support clients.
Alex has held several communications roles in government and on political campaigns. Most recently working as a communications advisor to a member of parliament, a senior communications advisor on a province-wide party leadership campaign, and as a deputy campaign manager in the most recent provincial election. Prior to this, Alex held communications and organizing roles on a variety of local nomination and general election campaigns, and as an issues management intern to the federal Minister of Labour.
In addition to his work in politics, Alex has devoted much of his time to creative pursuits including working and touring as a musician and developing his own podcast and community radio show, which featured interviews with musicians and public figures including MPs from all major parties as well as members of New Order, The Sex Pistols, The Runaways, The Beaches and many more.
Alex has an honours degree in politics and governance from Toronto Metropolitan University where he graduated with distinction.
