He recently completed an MSc in Political Science at the London School of Economics, graduating with Distinction. His dissertation examined UK public preferences for refugee responsibility-sharing mechanisms, analysing how economic and normative frames shape attitudes toward policy trade-offs. Mikey also holds a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia Okanagan, where he served as the president of the International Relations Student Association.
Mikey brings experience in grassroots political organising, data analysis, research, and strategic communication. He is passionate about building bridges and finding win-win solutions to complex problems.
Outside of work, Mikey is an avid cyclist, skier, disc golfer, and traveller. In 2021, he cycled solo for 4,000 km from the Canada-US border to the Arctic Ocean, raising $35,000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association. He is also an amateur songwriter and documentary filmmaker.
